The Consultant - Geomechanics performs various types of numerical and analytical modeling to support projects such as wellbore stability analysis, sand production prediction, reservoir compaction, surface subsidence and casing integrity analysis. The qualified individual will be part of a team of geomechanics engineers and work with basin modelers, operations geologists and petroleum engineers to build 2D and 3D computer based models of the subsurface environment. The completed models are used to support well construction and production operations. The Consultant - Geomechanics must therefore be able to use all available petrophysical, geologic and seismic data in the construction and analysis of the geomechanical Earth models.

Education:  MS required, PhD preferred.  Geologic engineer, geomechanics, civil engineer, mechanical engineering or petroleum engineering.

Experience:  Research and commercial project experience in petroleum geomechanics or related discipline such as mining, tunneling or slope stability analysis.
