Under broad direction, manages the day-to-day operations of the log analysis center and/or satellite centers. Supervises Log Analysts and/or other technical staff members. Provides technical leadership to the group. Conducts goal setting and performance appraisals of personnel. Utilizes project management skills and tracking tools in the organization and execution of project assignments. Executes tactical action plans as set by department goals and objectives. Manage the development team to ensure delivery. Possesses thorough understanding of the supported PSL's technology and broad understanding of the associated development tools. Understands and promotes HES's quality directives. Though this individual's focus will be technical leadership, they will perform development tasks maintaining their development expertise. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in a geo-science discipline (Geology, Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering or equivalent) and minimum of 10 years related experience or through 14 years of related experience.
i. Upgrades the BHS software and implements it in RES. Defines market competitive standard deliverables.
ii. Liaises with the oil company geophysicists to clearly understand their answer product needs and accordingly designs the RES solutions.
iii. Assists the global business managers (borehole seismic and RES) in implementing an industry standard borehole seismic processing software that caters to a wide range of customer expectations and steers future developments
iv. Talent management: competency development, training and career progression for BHS processors/analysts.
v. Publishes technical papers at global and regional forums thereby establishing Halliburton's technical leadership
vi. Identifies and pursues revenue growth opportunities among the diverse group of operators in Houston
vii. Responsible to build Houston RES as Halliburton's center of excellence in BHS
