Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating engineering efforts in production operations. Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter. Understands production metrics and production technology. Assures that producing properties operate at maximum economic rate and comply with governmental, environmental, and contractual requirements. Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional. Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. May provide some technical guidance to less experienced engineers. Typical requirements include an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 4 years experience, with average experience ranging from 6-10 years. Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
Majority of experience should preferably be in hard rock country.
Requires at least 1 year field supervision experience.
Desirable Experience:
Degreed engineer with 10-15 years completion engineering experience, including 10 years related to hard rock, fracture stimulated, completions design. Ideally, 2-5 years supervising field operations.
